Position:   Sales Associate – Part Time

Columbia Sportswear Canada LP is seeking a Part Time Sales Associate to join our team.

The part time Sales Associate will be responsible for selling Columbia Sportswear merchandise in a friendly, accurate and customer service oriented manner.  Responsibilities include assisting customers in person or by phone, providing product features and benefits, perform cash register transactions with a high level of accuracy, process returns, stock merchandise, maintain a neat and orderly store appearance.

The successful candidate must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.  Ability to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.  Basic math ability.  Interact with and provide service to customers.  Must be able to learn and willing to work within established guidelines.

Physical requirements include the ability to use the telephone, computerized cash register; perform repetitive movements of the arms and shoulders, stand for extended periods of time, move freely around the store, bend, twist, reach, squat, climb a ladder occasionally and regularly lift/carry up to 40 pounds.

The position requires a high school diploma.  Retail experience and/or experience working in a customer service environment is preferred.

Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
