On behalf of our client in London, we are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer  to join their team for a 1 year contract.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review specifications, drawings, and models to improve or develop new designs, including Hull Additions and Seating sub-systems.
• Design and develop prototypes, Demo Vehicles, and take corrective actions.
• Participate in Peer Reviews, Model Reviews and Conduct Design Reviews
• Write Technical Memos/Reports, as required.
• Maintain compliance to IPS, OPEN PLAN for schedule and budget
• Resolve production related issues, as required.
• Develop and maintain Technical Data Packages

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or College Diploma in Mechanical Technology
• Minimum 2 years engineering experience in Automotive or other Manufacturing Industry.
• Familiar with 3D Solid Works, AutoCad and Unigraphics
• Team player, capable of functioning within high performance multifunctional team.
• Self-motivated with a high level of oral and written communication and presentation skills to diversified audience.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to Travel and possess / be able to acquire a valid passport.
• High-level PC literacy in Microsoft environment

Due to the nature of the position, successful applicants must meet all applicable security
requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, including, but not limited to, the
ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance to secret level.
