Job Description
Keddco Manufacturing is now accepting applications for a shipping and receiving assistant for our Sarnia, Ontario location. This position is a combination of handling material, some light assembly as well as packaging and shipping duties. Tasks and positions rotate as required. This is a physically demanding job that requires multitasking, and working as a team to meet customer demands and quotas on a daily basis. We are seeking self-motivated individuals who are willing to learn new skills and contribute to company growth.
Wage TBD depending on experience – Mon to Fri (Days) + potential for overtime as required
Requirements/Qualifications for this position:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of material handling or receiving experience in manufacturing and/or warehouse
- Clean driver's record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Numeracy and literacy skills
- Forklift and crane experience is preferred but not required
- Moving parts and material to areas as required to meet production demands
- Packaging of products, some assembly and final inspection for quality
- Physically fit with the ability to safely lift up heavy items as needed for tasks
- Loading and unloading of parts and supporting other team members
- Packing products, labelling and shrink wrapping skids for shipping
- Standing and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods
