Our client is currently seeking an experienced Plant Manager for their very busy production facility.  This candidate will have previous Plant Management experience within a manufacturing environment, exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.  This full time position located in Sarnia, ON offers a great total compensation package including an annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $100,000 based on experience.

Job Description:

• Manage overall plant operations for the site
• Responsible for all production, manufacturing, assembly, CNC and inventory systems
• Responsible for all shop personnel (hiring, firing, reviews up to and including disciplinary actions)
• Work with Operations, General and QA Manager to make sure all ISO and H&S policies are strictly enforced
• Review employee manual annually and up date as required to meet local, provincial and federal labour guidelines
• Work with purchasing on year end inventory and shop organization
• Work with Plant Supervisors and H&S team members to ensure shop and employees are meeting and/or exceeding the H&S standards
• Work with Plant Supervisors to ensure all equipment is in working and safe order, making sure repairs or new equipment is ordered as necessary
• Work and manage with Production control (Project Managers, Customer Service etc.) to ensure all orders are entered on a timely basis and adjust scheduling as required to meet customers' delivery
• Work with companys' HQ to coordinate procedures and systems involving product production

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 5 - 10 years' experience in a Plant Management role, manufacturing environment preferred
• Background in electrical systems or product is an asset
• College Diploma or University degree in business is an asset
• Safety minded
• Solution based approach
• Quality motivated
• Ability to travel internationally
• Experience in ERP system is adventageous
• Effective leadership abilities including; strong communciation skills and interpersonal abilities
