Job Opportunity – Industrial Electrician/Millwright

We currently have an exciting new opportunity to join our manufacturing facilities in Strathroy, Ontario.
The Person:
As a team member in our maintenance department, the successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Supervisor. You will provide maintenance and support to the plants, maintain equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
Your duties will also involve:
- Maintain a safe working environment: Perform duties in a safe, efficient, and proper manner. Apply and meet all applicable codes, standards and/or regulations when doing work.
- Records: Prepare and maintain records in ERP system of program changes and electrical and mechanical upgrades. Maintain a daily record of work completed.
- Maintenance Tasks: Maintain and repair plant equipment and perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities
- Support all teams in crisis management situations including breakdowns and other emergency repairs
- Take part in the annual preventative maintenance requirements on the equipment.
- Training: Participate in training and skill transfer programs for apprentices and production personnel with regular review of the practical training progress.
- Other duties as required including special projects as they arise.
You will have a Certificate of Qualification, Certificate of Apprenticeship (Electrician) Red Seal and Certificate of Qualification, Certificate of Apprenticeship (Industrial Millwright) Red Seal, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a die cast, automotive, or manufacturing environment. You will also have a strong background in troubleshooting hydraulic systems with PLC experience in RSLogix5000. You will show maturity, good judgment, reliability, and good verbal and written communication skills. A solid knowledge of applicable government codes, rules, and regulations and be able to keep up to date of changes in these codes is required.
You will have experience working with Motoman robots and Arc Flash training. Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, change faulty components, and process troubleshooting are strong assets. Troubleshooting all aspects of electrical equipment, repair or exchange faulty components is required.
