The mission of the Office of the Registrar is to provide the Best Student Experience to prospective students from the initial point of interest in undergraduate programs at Western, through the information gathering, application and admission processes. 

The Analyst will collaborate with the Admissions Specialist on all admissions processes to ensure the accurate receipt and maintenance of all application data, test scores, and supplementary information in support of applications for degree, certificate and diploma programs.  The incumbent also supports the Admissions Specialist in the automated adjudication of applicants and subsequent dissemination of communications from the Admissions Office.  The Analyst will also conduct audits and analyze information contained in databases to identify issues that could jeopardize the application process and propose solutions. 

Qualifications 
Education:
-   Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or other quantitative discipline

Experience:
-   4 years' experience in a production or application development/implementation environment
-   Experience in educational enterprise applications and tools
-   Experience with PeopleSoft application and tools preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-   Exceptional attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to retrieve, analyze and synthesize sizable amounts of data
-   Exceptional and accurate reporting ability
-   Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to research/investigate issues and resolve problems
-   Ability to conduct research and apply knowledge learned to role
-   Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical users
-   Strong client-service orientation and a desire to achieve results is essential
-   Proven ability and natural inclination to interact with people in a professional, respectful and diplomatic manner
-   Results oriented with exceptionally strong organizational and time management
-   Ability to build strong collegial relationships in a team oriented environment
-   Ability to interpret user manuals, document procedures and train staff
-   Knowledge of one or more Oracle applications, or comparable enterprise system applications, and a working knowledge of Query and Cognos
-   Excellent knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office 
-   Basic knowledge of the Ontario High School and post-secondary education systems
-   Demonstrated ability to stay current with new technological developments
-   Ability to understand customer needs and expectations, and provide excellent customer service directly and indirectly to satisfy expectations
-   A strong record of teamwork with the motivation and ability to work independently with little supervision
-   Familiarity with FIPPA and AODA regulations and working knowledge of secure data transfer protocols
