Job Description
Our client located in London, ON is in search of a Control Technologist to join their team on a fulltime basis. If you enjoy working locally as well as some travel (approx. 2 months combined annually) This is the opportunity for you.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
• Start-up and commissioning of various systems.
• Travelling worldwide, primarily North America
• Knowledge of various analog and instrumentation components. Ability to read the manual and configure appropriately.
• Knowledge of variable frequency drives. Ability to read manuals and configure appropriately.
• Willingness to work in harsh environments (foundry industry)
• Climbing up to 80 feet.
• Willingness to correct all mechanical, electrical and combustion problems independently on site.
• Ability to do mechanical repairs on machinery.
• Ordering of all electrical and combustion system components.
• Knowledge of Canadian gas code.
• Knowledge of United States electrical code.
• Knowledge of pneumatic systems and pneumatic sand transporters.
• Troubleshooting skills
• Presentation skills, training groups up to 15 people about system functionality and operation.
• Programming: SLC, RSLogix500, Compact Logix, RSLogix5000, connected components.
• Interface development: Panelbuilder32, Factory view studio, RSView32, Connected components.
• Electrical design, AutoCad 2015 to Canadian and United States electrical code.
