Job Description
Job Purpose
Major Areas of Responsibility
- With management and corporate input, determine the overall direction for training and performance development for the Ontario plant.
- Conduct training needs analyses as required.
- Design or source out training programs to fill competency gaps as needed by the Ontario plant.
- Identify kaizen opportunities within the training programs, ensure timely completion of training guides, work with Engineering to update training guide content, ensure TS16949 documentation sign-off for hourly training other than training guides.
- Co-ordinate technical training program activity as required
- Co-ordinate new hire orientation training
- Assist with the co-ordination and delivery of compliance related training
- Perform exit interviews for team member resignations
- Initiate and track probationary team member progress
- Support team member appreciation activities
- Apply and promote WTG’s general rules, policies, procedures and systems
Qualifications
- College diploma or university degree, with specialization in Human Resources and/or in Organizational Training and Development.
- CHRP designation, or working toward it.
- 1 - 3 years of training related experience preferably in an industrialized setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Able to work independently and take initiative.
- Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Lotus Notes.
