Founded in 1990, it is Autodata’s mission to provide solutions that increase the effectiveness of the automotive sales chain by providing innovative technology solutions to all industry participants from the auto manufacturers, vehicle dealers, 3rd-party service providers as well as automobile consumers. Through its 50% interest in Chrome Data Solutions (www.chromedata.com) , Autodata provides automotive content, competitive research, vehicle configuration data & tools and other related services to the NA auto industry.

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to be a key player in the company’s growth strategy.   The position will report directly to the Senior Director, Project Management at Autodata Solutions, headquartered in London, Ontario and will be responsible for the initiation, planning and management of strategic projects.  The Project Manager will work closely with the Project Director and the Delivery Partner within the assigned business unit.   

 Key elements of the position:
  • Provide direction and leadership in ensuring projects are effectively managed through the project lifecycle
  • Provide hands on development and management of project work plans that accurately reflect the required work
  • Understand the business and technical implementation choice points and facilitate decisions that drive optimal project outcomes
  • Identify, acquire and manage the appropriate quantity and mix of resources required to execute and deliver projects
  • Take ownership and be accountable for the delivery of all projects to scope, schedule and budget using Change Control Process
  • Ensure project level management of critical dependencies, critical path and project deliverables and act as the point of escalation for project issues and risks
  • Prepare and communicate project status, governance, updates to sales and clients, as required
  • Ensure high client, sales and internal stakeholder satisfaction for all projects
  • Partner with functional, sales and executive teams to ensure successful delivery of project leveraging best practices
  • Participate in methodology design, review and implementation with functional leaders
 
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education with an IT related background
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and manage strong team dynamics and work with complex cross-functional teams
  • Proven leadership skills – persuasive, encouraging and motivating
  • Proven ability to drive project to successful completion as well as the ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
  • Strong and proven project management experience (5-10 years) with the ability to lead cross functional teams
  • Strong people manager who can lead, inspire and direct the activities of people within and outside the organization
  • Exceptionally self-motivated, directed and detail-oriented
  • Automotive industry experience a definite asset
