Technology Project Coordinator

Canaccede Financial Group, a successful and growing Consumer Finance Business, is looking for a Technology Project Coordinator to work within our London, ON location.
This position reports to our Director of Technology Services and is integral to building depth and strength to our Technology support organization.  The Technology Project Coordinator works closely with the Director of Technology Services, vendors and management teams, providing project management and technical skills to enhance our IT environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Advocate for the Technology and IT Department and its initiatives
  • Take a pro-active role in working with business stakeholders to find ways to improve operations and implement innovative new solutions for the company
  • Participate in business case development for new solution alternatives
  • Take a lead role in sourcing and managing new and existing vendors to augment technology solutions for the company
  • Work with all business stakeholders, to drive corporate technology projects from initial phases to deployment
  • Compile project status reports, coordinate project schedules, manage project meetings, identify and resolve technical problems.
  • Identify and analyze system requirements and define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate project activities and ensure all project phases are documented appropriately
  • Work with vendors and the Technology Services team to manage technical integration of new solutions to existing corporate systems
  • Plan and facilitate training activities for new solutions for all staff as needed

    Qualifications:
     
  • 5 years relevant experience in a Technology role within a customer-service oriented environment
  • Technology related degree or diploma, or relevant job experience
  • Experience in technology project management, including best practices, and leading project engagements with third party vendors
  • Understanding of the systems integration process, incorporating new systems and technologies into existing environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of VMWare virtual environments, as well as OS and Server environments including Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, RHEL Linux, and Dell hardware environments
  • Good working knowledge of networking, including managed Cisco switches and firewalls, and Watchguard firewalls.
  • Experience in PCI-DSS data security standards compliance and audits is a strong asset
  • Software development skills, including PHP is a strong asset
