Job Description
Arkal Automotive is a Plastics Injection Moulding company located in London area. Tier 1 and 2 supplier to the automotive industry. We are looking for an energetic Program Manager who is willing to move forward continually in a positive manner. We offer a competitive salary and benefits.
PROGRAM MANAGER
Reporting to the Plant Manager in a lean manufacturing environment, responsible for overseeing and implementing new and current programs.
Job Responsibilities:
-Provides the Corporate Program Management APQP activity for new and changed programs
-Supports the completion of on site APQP activity in conjunction with the Plant Manager and team members
-Coordinates the launch activity for new and changed programs with team members
-Initiates and maintains an APQP Program Management job file for new and changed programs which includes an APQP Program History and Status Sheet, APQP Time Line, and APQP Open Issues List
-Reviews the design and build of moulds, assembly equipment, automation equipment and fixtures with suppliers
-Prepares and submits purchase requisitions for moulds, fixtures, and equipment to Plant Manager
-Coordinates with tooling, fixture, equipment, material suppliers and the Customer for tryouts
-Coordinates with the Customer and Plant Manager for the tryout of tooling, fixtures, equipment and materials
-Initiates Engineering Change Notices
-Maintains a Tooling, Fixture, and Equipment cost spreadsheet
-Confers with Plant Manager and Quality Engineer to discuss site concerns regarding design, engineering, testing, tolerances, scheduling, and /or packaging and to obtain resolution of these concerns with customers prior to production
-Coordinates functional engineering approval with the Customer
-Interfaces with Customers and the manufacturing site to provide functional engineering and launch support and ensure customer needs are met.
-Evaluates design changes, specifications, and drawing releases
-Maintains a working knowledge of government, safety and environmental legislation and/or regulations
Education
University or college degree, or Mould Makers certificate, and/or 5 years of related experience, or a combination of training, education and experience
