Spectrum Communications is currently seeking a Senior Electronic Service Technician to become the newest member of our team of talented individuals. Senior Electronic Service Technician
Basic Job Description:
- Testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, installation and repair of radio system infrastructure and subscribers
- Troubleshooting and problem diagnosis of conventional and trunking systems (analog and digital)
- Installation, troubleshooting and repair of wireless microwave networks
- Complete and maintain test and service reports
- Aid in pre-sale system design
- Provide pre and post-sale technical support to Spectrum’s sales staff
Essential Skills:
- Minimum 5 years working experience in two-way radio
- Wireless broadband and Tetra experience
- CAREpoint™ EMS workstation experience
- DMR experience
- Capable of continuous learning at a rapid pace
- Critical thinking
- Problem solving skills
- Reading text/document use
- Working well in a team environment and able to function independently
- Computer skills are essential
Work Site Environment:
- In shop work
- On-site (customer location) work
- Remote (tower site) location work
- Some after hours on call responsibility (weekly rotation shared by technical staff)
- Ability to work outside of Canada for extended periods of time
Security and Safety:
- Police security clearance
- Criminal record check
- Driver’s validity license check
Education:
- Electronics Technologist or Electronics Technician Diploma (preferred; not required)
Hours:
- Full-time (40 hours per week) starting at $24/hour
