Wireless Voice and Data RF Technician
Education:
Preferred: Electronics Technologist or Electronics Technician Diploma
Basic Job Description:
- Testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, installation and repair of radio system infrastructure and subscribers
- Troubleshooting and problem diagnosis of conventional and trunking systems (analog and digital)
- Installation, troubleshooting and repair of wireless microwave networks
- Complete and maintain test and service reports
- Aid in pre-sale system design
- Provide pre and post-sale technical support to Spectrum’s sales staff
- Police security clearance
- Criminal record check
- Driver’s validity license check
- Capable of continuous learning at a rapid pace
- Critical thinking
- Problem solving skills
- Reading text/Document use
- Working well in a team environment AND able to function independently
- Computer skills are essential
- In shop work
- On-site (customer location) work
- Remote (tower site) location work
- Some after hours on call responsibility (weekly rotation shared by technical staff)
