Lucas Professional Search Group is currently recruiting for an Engineering Technician for our client in the Windsor area.  The main role of the Engineering Technician will be to ensure that all service to customer or company-owned equipment t is completed efficiently, on time and correctly according to company standards.
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Communicate with customer on all call activities up to and including scheduled arrival time, scheduled calls and any deviation which may have occurred
• Troubleshoot and diagnose failures, executive repairs at customer site
• Participate in special projects at the direction of management
• Provide status updates online during the day and keep management aware of the progress of service calls and update management with all required paperwork each day
• Keep an inventory of parts onsite and ship back necessary parts at the end of each service call
• Complete repairs within performance standard guidelines as set by the company
• Manage quality of repair, amount of rework, quantity of repairs, labour efficiency and other measures

Qualifications:
 

• Engineering Degree or Technician Diploma (EIT) with a focus in electrical components
• Excellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal communication and computer skills
• Strong judgement and discretion and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle work related stress
• Knowledge of open workflow software is a bonus
• 1-2 years’ experience working in a related position
• Friendly, courteous, service-oriented, professional, outgoing, and customer focused
• Ability to regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 100 pounds
• Flexibility and availability to ravel- this position has a large travel component
