Lucas Professional Search Group is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join a leading company that extrudes standard and custom aluminum.  The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for developing new products, as well as improving existing ones.

Located in South Western Ontario on the Canada/US border, across from Detroit Michigan, bordered by the Detroit River, Lake St. Clair and Lake Erie, Windsor and Essex County is a vibrant geographical area.  Being Canada’s southernmost point, the region boasts the warmest climate in all of Ontario. 

The City of Windsor is comprised of residential, industrial, commercial, institutional, and rural areas along with a vibrant multicultural society with a growing population of 216,000. The County of Essex consists of seven municipalities with a population of 166,000.

Responsibilities:

• Support new equipment installs
• Maintain equipment
• Design mechanical process
• Troubleshoot equipment
• Participate in Process improvements
• Project management

 
Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in an engineering role in a manufacturing facility
• Post-Secondary Education, preferable P. Eng.
• High energy self-starter
• Excellent documentation skills
• Hands-on approach
• Excellent communication skills
