Position Description

The candidate should be an experienced Welder / Fitter with experience in prototyping. 

Dairy Lane Systems is looking for a self motivated Welder / Fitter who works well on his/her own and is able to both build projects from engineering documents as well as provide ideas to the engineers to improve projects and potentially spot problems.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Be able to read and understand welding code and engineering documents
  • Ability to lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications
  • Tack-weld or weld components, fixturing and assemblies using electric and gas welding equipment.
  • Cut and machine materials using pipe benders, band saws, metal punch, milling machine and any other equipment that might be necessary for the task.
  • Inspect using quality control methods, using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instrument.
  • Crane rigging and material handeling experience would be an asset
  • Fork lift training an asset
