Engineering Manager

We are currently seeking a seasoned management professional with extensive experience in the Thermal Process Equipment to head up the Engineering Department at our clients’ Sarnia location. The successful candidate will bring more than ten years of solid management experience, and posses an extensive knowledge of ASME and TEMA codes and standards.

Responsibilities
-Checking drawings and designs for compliance with standards, Codes, contracts and specifications
-Recommending and implementing improvements in engineering procedures and policies
-Addressing special technical or performance concerns raised by customers
-Executing research and development of new resources, products, processes, and methods
-Maintaining staff morale and productivity by building a reputation for efficient planning, effective implementation, and positive leadership
-Reading and interpreting new editions of Codes and Standards for impact on department practices and policies
-Developing and maintaining technical relationships inside and outside the company.

Qualifications

-P.Eng.
-Proven management, leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
-Proven ability to work outside of published standards to produce safe, effective designs
-Effective written and oral communication skills are required, including public speaking
-Extensive knowledge of API-12F, API-650, API_620, ASME Section VIII Div 1, CSA-B51
