This opportunity is a full-time hours, 11 month contract.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Perform psychosocial assessment and counseling/therapy to individuals, couples, and families (with a focus on adults and seniors) within the professional scope of practice.
• Act as a client advocate on individual and systemic issues.
• Perform case management functions.
• Contribute to chart documentation, participate in chart reviews and case conferences and make referrals.
• Participate in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of treatment, education, counseling and health promotion programs and services for individuals, couples, families and the community.
• Be aware of, and to work towards, the achievement of the performance indicators and outcomes identified in the MOHLTC Accountability Agreement and the Centre’s Strategic Plan related to this position.

Qualifications:
• Graduate degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university
• Current registration with applicable College or Association
• 3-5 years counseling/therapy experience preferred with experience in a community health setting an asset
• Proficiency in current assessment, psychotherapy, and psychosocial counselling techniques
• Proficient in crisis management skills
• Ability to establish and maintain solid community partnerships
• Familiar with the unique challenges facing rural populations
• Verification of full Covid-19 vaccination status or verified medical exemption required as a condition of employment
• Vulnerable Sector Police Check required
