JOB TITLE: Energy Management Specialist
SALARY RANGE: $61,314- $81,085
HIRING RANGE: $61,314 - $78,257
START DATE: To be determined

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Energy Management Coordinator, the Energy Management Specialist is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of Energy Management Control Systems (EMCS), and implementation of EMCS Projects. The Energy Management Specialist applies engineering and control principles to maintain energy savings, and identifies, analyzes, and implements strategies that will further reduce energy consumption. As the subject matter expert, the Energy Management Specialist is responsible for the maintenance and advancement of TVDSB’S EMCS Master Specification; for the training of internal staff with respect to EMCS and other related systems; for completing projects as assigned by the Energy Management Coordinator and the Manager, Capital Projects in order to further the goals of TVDSB’s Energy Management Plan; and for interacting with internal and external stakeholders to maintain EMCS and other energy management related systems.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Successful completion of a three (3) year degree or diploma, Engineering Technology or equivalent (Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Controls Engineering Technology, Energy and Power Engineering Technology, etc.) or completion of a two (2) year diploma combined with a valid recognized licensed trade certification in Electrical, HVAC/Refrigeration, Plumbing. Three (3) year’s work experience in related field is also required. The incumbent must demonstrate sufficient technical and interpersonal skills to successfully meet the expectations of this position.      
     
The position requires use of the employee’s personal vehicle for travel to Board sites. All applicable travel is reimbursed according to Board policy and procedures using the Board’s posted mileage rate.
