Autotube Limited, a progressive and growing auto parts manufacturer located in Strathroy.   Autotube manufactures and sells parts directly to General Motors, Stellantis, Ford and Toyota. 

As a result of Autotube’s expected growth, we have a need for a Production and Logistics Planner.  Autotube prides itself on being a larger, family-owned business that provides a flexible and accommodating working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Works closely with the Pack and Assembly supervisor to schedule and prioritize jobs through work cells & outside operations to best meet customer requirements.
  • Communicates with customer when there is a possible container shortage, and is responsible for ensuring containers are available when needed to make shipments.
  • Overall responsibility for any shipping violations and coordinates any follow ups and subsequent corrective actions.
  • Manage, execute, and test any customer label requirements and changes.
  • Works collaboratively with the Pack and Assembly team to design packaging requirements and work through the customer approval process.
  • Main point of contact with customers to coordinate shipping plans and any deviations to planned shipping methods.
  • Works closely with the Materials Co-Ordinators in both of our plants to identify problems or bottlenecks that may cause either delays or missing shipments.   Proactively communicating with customers to develop a shipping plan. 
  • Back up to the Materials Co-Ordinator position to cover absences.
  • Review and follow up on cell demand and capacity adjustment requests from customers.  Work with operations to communicate the appropriate action to the customer.     
  • Diligently reviewing customer order changes obtained through EDI daily and following up with the customer on any significant adjustments.
  • Responsible for notifying internal team of these schedule changes and ensuring there is enough material in house to meet the shipments.
  • Takes appropriate action on any missed or short shipments including investigation into the reasoning and informing customer of mitigation and ship plan.
  • Responsible for outbound customs documentation requirements
  • Responsible for any NAFTA surveys and documentation requests
  • Responsible for any surveys related to CTPAT requirements
  • Statutory Holiday work is typically required where Canadian holidays are not aligned with our customers in the United States.
  • Responsible for setting up any special package shipments for office staff, including special Proto orders.
  • Confirm shipment schedules in customer portals by required deadlines and ensure there are no flags for late shipments. Dispute any if necessary.
Successful candidates will have:
  • College or University degree
  • Exceptional knowledge and proficiency in Excel
  • 3-5 years of experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Manufacturing background
  • Proven record of continuous improvement and trouble shooting
