YMCA of Southwestern Ontario was founded in 1856 and has over 200 locations from Goderich to Point Pelee, and Windsor to Woodstock. We are one of the largest not-for-profit providers of licensed child care in Canada and have over 100 school age programs across our regions. We also offer settlement services to newcomers, employment programs, mental health support, and youth programs. YMCA of Southwestern Ontario operates two overnight camps, one in Point Pelee National Park, and one on Beausoleil Island in Muskoka. We also have 15 Health & Fitness branches across Southwestern Ontario.

Employees and volunteers of YMCA of Southwestern Ontario are ambassadors for the Y both on and off the job. Position: Centre Supervisor/School Age Site Supervisor and Administrator
• This is a transitional role starting as Centre Supervisor in the child care until mid-February, then supporting the Sarnia Lambton School Age programs as an Educator with administration tasks part-time day
Location: St. Michael YMCA Child Care and School Age Program - Brights's Grove, ON
Start Date: As soon as possible
Compensation: Based on experience and qualifications
• RECE - up to $54,600 annually (includes all government wage enhancements)

Education & Skills Qualifications:
• Current member of the College of Early Childhood Educators, Ontario is required.
Current First Aid/CPR certifications.
Current and acceptable Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Position Screen is a condition of employment for all staff and volunteers.
• Valid Food Handler's Certificate
• Valid driver's licence and reliable personal vehicle
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience working with children 0-12 years in a work or school placement setting is an asset
In these role, you will:
• Demonstrate YMCA Core Values- Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, Caring, and Inclusiveness- in all daily interactions.
• Implement, practice, and mentor daily, the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario Program Statement
• Liaise with parents and community partners professionally, maintaining an inviting and inclusive environment.
• Work collaboratively with the Directors of the YMCA Programs
Centre Supervisor (until February 2026)
• Oversee and support day-to-day operations of the centre, including staffing, family engagement, financial matters and budgets, inclusive programming, and YMCA quality outcomes.
• Oversee all registrations of children, monitor enrollment, and maintain occupancy goals of the centre.
• Manage budget, complete financial forecasting, maintain and report accurate expenses, and complete payroll requirements.
• Follow and ensure the program policies and procedures, as well as the day-to-day operation, are in accordance with the regulations of the Program and the Ministry of Education, Child Care Early Years Act. (2014), YMCA of Southwestern Ontario, Public Health and Fire Regulations for licensed childcare centre
School-Age Site Supervisor and Administrative Tasks ( starting mid-February 2026)
• Will facilitate one of the before-school or after-school programs
• Requires travel between different locations as needed
• Organize school-age department program supplies and equipment
• Support department recruitment and new hire training, and mentoring by facilitating group Orientation sessions as required
• Assist with onboarding new staff as needed.
• Assist the school-age team with administrative tasks pertaining to Ministry of Education compliance, registration, data entry, etc
