On behalf of our client in London, we are currently recruiting for a Vetronic Systems Engineer for a 6 month contract opportunity

Job Duties and responsibilities:

·         Generate, design, prove and integrate innovative ideas to further the capability of the electrical/electronic architecture

·         Develop embedded software in accordance with industry standards, departmental and organizational process and procedures.

·         Develop graphical Human-Machine Interfaces, working closely with Human Factors Engineering.

·         Design and integrate network architectures using CAN, Mil-CAN, and Ethernet.

·         Conduct hardware and software testing to verify concepts, and progress viable designs to a production-ready / TRL7 level.

·         Document designs with detailed requirements documentation, specifications, system functional descriptions, block diagrams, schematic diagrams, UML diagrams, ICDs, test plans, and technical reports.

Required qualifications

•    University Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

•    2 yrs or more experience with embedded system software development (C, C++),   

      electronic hardware design, microcontrollers and processors

•    Experience with software development tools such as NI LabVIEW and Measurement

      Studio, MS Visual Studio, and CodeWarrior

•    Experience with configuring and using embedded operating systems such as Windows,

      Linux, QNX, VxWorks

•    Experience with data networks

·         Experience working the full life cycle of a hardware/software project from bidding and requirements definition, through coding, designing, building and qualifying

·         P.Eng or eligibility for P.Eng status
