IT Manager

Responsible for maintenance and support of all Information Technology needs at site and maintaining the Microsoft Windows OU (Organizational Unit) infrastructure at the location as advised by central IT

Job Specifications:

• Responsible for installing, maintaining and servicing the complete Windows environment (servers, workstations, peripheral devices), LAN and WAN connectivity, and the complete VoIP phone and voicemail environment, as directed by central IT; emphasis on performance, storage management, file structure and user management.
• Consults with management to analyze computer system needs for management information and functional operations, to determine scope and priorities of projects, and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions.
• Recommends and develops plans for migrations, upgrades, and systems development; hardware and software purchases, budget, and staffing.
• Implement, monitor, and promote IT policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, legal and regulatory compliance.
• Negotiates and contracts with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products.
• Delivers support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software programs and hardware.
• Manages computer operation scheduling, backup, storage, and retrieval functions.  Develops, maintains, and tests disaster recovery plans.
• Responsible for the organization and final certification of integration test; emergency systems and SAP release changes for the plant.
• Responsible for the normal operation and support of emergency applications, such as JIT Emergency System.
• Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine costs and impact, and problem resolution.
• Supervise and responsible for daily tasks and direction of direct reports.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent IT related experience.
• 5+ years in IT occupational experience as an MSCE, systems administrator, or computer technologist.
• Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator\Engineer in Windows 2000\2003\2008.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP network protocol and basic network concepts.
• Proficient in German would be considered an asset
