The Responsive Designer, under the direction of Director, Marketing and Creative Services, will think conceptually, grasp the bigger picture and execute flawlessly.  The Responsive Designer will have broad experience in prototype development of web and mobile UI and understand the principles of Responsive Web Design. The Responsive Designer must have the ability to understand a dynamic design environment and have the ability to create CSS style guides of your final designs.  The position requires a strong knowledge of Web and mobile design conventions, optimization and best practices, as well as great typography and layout skills. The designer should have a willingness to learn new technologies. The designer will work with key stakeholders such as Interactive Designers, Architects and Developers to build UI prototypes. This role is where design and technology come together.

 Essential Skills

•    Strong visual, UI and digital design skills.

•    Proficiency in HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript

•    Creating engaging visual content and design interactions with a meticulous focus on simplicity and elegance.

•    Strong understanding of information architecture and user experience issues.

•    Proficiency in Adobe Master Suite, especially Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

•    Strong command of cross-browser development techniques.

•    Implementing designs in a platform adaptable way (responsive web design)

•    Work well under pressure and able to meet aggressive deadlines.

•    Able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced environment.

•    Position includes limited client contact.

•    Strong Communication and Organizational Skills.

•    Demonstrated ability to take initiative and responsibility in a team environment.

Education and Experience

•    Degree in Interactive Arts and Media or relevant technical degree.

•    3-5 years development experience in UI development

•    2+ years experience as an Interactive Designer.

•    Proficiency in HTML, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript
