LEHDER Environmental Services is an environmental consulting company focused on providing Excellence in Industrial Air Quality Services. Formed in 1995, LEHDER is now one of the largest Air Quality Management companies in Canada.  We are currently seeking a Field Technologist / Technician for the Emissions Testing Group based in Point Edward, Ontario.  We offer competitive salaries based upon experience and a health and pension plan. 

Education: The ideal candidate should have an Environmental or Chemical degree or diploma.  Other diplomas and degrees will be considered.  An individual with a QSTI designation would be preferred.

Experience: Although an entry level person would be considered, the ideal candidate should have at least 2 years experience in emissions testing using both Ontario and US EPA methodologies.  The experience should include calibrating stack test equipment, repairing stack test equipment, preparing for jobs, and conducting stack sampling.  Individuals with Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) experience are preferred.       

Position: The job will require the individual to travel throughout North America to conduct stack sampling programs with an experienced test crew.  The individual will be required to assist senior personnel with conducting the sampling programs in a safe and efficient manner.    The job entails calibrating stack test equipment, repairing stack test equipment, preparing for jobs, transporting equipment to and from job sites and conducting stack sampling.

Additional Requirements: The ideal candidate should have the following:  a valid Class G driver license, valid passport, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, ability to trouble shoot electrical and mechanical equipment, ability to work at heights, ability to work overtime, ability to perform heavy lifting, ability to travel on short notice and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
