Night Shift Superintendent
Job Specifications:
· Responsible for several production areas with 100 -150 production shift workers and their shift supervisors (Press shop, Pre-Production, Assembly, Logistics, Quality)
· Control Production in order to meet programmed delivery dates and optimize waste, downtime and stock levels
· Ensure company and product quality targets and standards are met including housekeeping
· Facilitate cost reduction measures in respect to both product and production processes together with other areas, suppliers and customers
· Provide a high level of leadership to the team, recruit, train, develop and appraise the people required, both in number and quality, to meet present and future needs
· Ensure effective communication with and information to the team
· Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental procedures, participate actively and be pro-active in the development of a safe working environment
· Ensure a very high standard of housekeeping on a daily basis
· Contribute to and support the introduction of new products, facilities, machinery and process to the area
· Responsible for continuous improvement activities in order to optimize equipment and processes
· Deputy for the Supervisors as required
Job Qualifications:
· 3+ years organizational and management experience
· 5+ years experience in an automotive industry
· Project management and implementation of new products into production
· Knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques specifically gained within the automotive industry
· Evidence of well developed leadership and team building skills
· Systematic thinker
· Must operate independently
