The Role:

The inPulse DBA will be responsible for providing operational database services to the organization including database performance analysis, corrective action, proactive tuning, maintenance administration and backup and recovery across the database application infrastructure.  This role will also respond to database related alerts and escalations.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in a technical area such as Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent training and work experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in a mature engineering organization in a similar capacity.
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options
• Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts
• Knowledge of indexes, index management and statistics
• ITIL knowledge

Special Requirements:

·         Ability to work overtime and off-hours on occasion to meet deadlines and to respond to technical emergencies.
