Job Description
PAYROLL SERVICES - SUMMER STUDENT POSITION(S)
One (1) is required to work in Payroll Services. The successful candidate will assist the Payroll Services team with filing (manual and electronic), photocopying, verifying information, organizing documents, and other duties as required. Must be able to lift upwards of 20lb.
Candidates must be 16 years of age or older, currently attending school full time and must be returning to school full time in 2024 September. Submit a copy of your current school timetable with your electronic application (transcripts will not be accepted in lieu of a timetable). Please note that if you do not have proof of enrollment for 2024 September at this time, TVDSB will be able to extend an offer with a proof of enrollment as a condition of continued employment.
Dates of Employment: 2024 July 08 to 2024 August 15
Location: Education Centre, 1250 Dundas Street
Hours of Work: 28 hour per week
Monday-Thursday: 0830 -1600 with a ½ hour unpaid lunch
Rate of Pay: $15.60 per hour plus 4 % vacation pay (Student Rate those under 18 years of age) - Minimum Wage
Expiry Date: 2023 December 19
PLEASE NOTE ALL SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING:
1 A SOCIAL INSURANCE NUMBER; and
2. IF 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK FOR WORKING WITH VULNERABLE PERSONS.
3. POST OFFER PRE-PLACEMENT MEDICAL SCREENING TESTS.
The recruitment process requires a criminal background check for work with vulnerable persons.
