We are currently recruiting for a Sales Manager.
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading a small team of Account Managers and meeting and exceeding sales and profit goals through the ownership of that team. This role is ultimately accountable for individual and team productivity, and serves as a leader within the Sales organization. A core expectation of this role is to drive interdepartmental collaboration on execution of company strategy at an account level. This role will develop business relationships with customers and enhance customer loyalty by providing a superior customer experience. The Sales Manager will coach and develop a team of Account Managers, typically between 5-8 direct reports focused on the North American market. This position will proactively manage account profiles and account plans to identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
· In tandem with the Director of Sales, drive the implementation and execution of company strategy through Strategic Account Management at the account manager team level.
· Lead Account Manager Team in the development and implementation of account profiles and account operating plans that build/strengthen customer relationships, increase StarTech.com brand awareness and promote profitable growth within the assigned accounts/segments.
§ Coach Account Manager team to manage their individual business portfolios effectively and profitably and advise team on strategies to improve sales performance, achieve goals and meet expectations
§ Participate in development, deployment, and improvement of professional account management tools and processes to support account plans.
§ Participate in target and goal setting.
§ Coordinate ongoing product and relationship sales training for team.
§ Build solid relationships with key decision makers and influences in target accounts. Identify and participate in higher level customer facing meetings and activities as required.
§ Engage cross functional resources on target accounts as required.
§ Hire, train, coach and retain diverse sales team
§ Develop and manage monthly/quarterly sales projection and performance reporting and monitor/measure performance of Account Manager team
§ Attend to escalated customer and team tasks/issues and assist account managers in complex problem resolution to both internal and external customers.
§ Create team oriented sales environment that rewards success and supports continuous improvement
§ Participate and potentially lead projects and/or task forces.
§ Act as conduit for channel intelligence on accounts, competitors and market.
§ Manage discretionary expense budget for assigned team.

· Excellent time management skills in order to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
· Exceptional attention to detail and follow up skills
· Strong PC Skills; Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Requirements / Experience
· Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
· Minimum 5 years successfully managing account relationships at all levels of target accounts IT Channel; knowledge of applicable sales programs, business sales process procedures and related tools
· At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role leading and managing a team of direct reports
· Demonstrated ability in driving process improvements, problem-solving, and producing quantitative results.
· Proven ability in the creation, implementation and execution of account plans and channel programs to drive profitable growth.
· Demonstrated ability to understand, manage, and communicate financial data including but not limited to departmental expenses and channel programs and promotions.
· Ability to travel to customers meetings and events as needed
