The Role:

In this role you will be developing dynamic Flash media that is defining the new and emerging digital media & narrowcasting industry. You will be working in a supportive team environment of a creative production studio and cross-departmental support from software engineers, user experience developers, quality assurance teams. The teams are responsible for designing, developing and implementing enterprise and professional web-based business services and supporting intelligent creative. The role requires creative and motivated self-starters that possess a passion for growing their knowledge and career in the ever-changing field of narrowcasting, marketing, web business services, and media.

Responsibilities:

- Create re-usable components that can be shared with multiple applications

- Interact with project teams to understand business and user requirements to determine

specifications for Flash development

- Implement innovative Flash techniques and features in a highly scalable manner

- Contribute to and assist in the authoring of feature requirement documents

- Collaborate with creative and technical team members to determine the most appropriate,

and robust implementation of Flash.

- Maintain high coding standards and practices and exercise quality control on all aspects of

Flash development

- Assist in developing digital media strategies

- Bring new and effective ideas and suggestions to the various teams

- Develop creative and critical thinking abilities

- Strive for constant customer satisfaction

- Promote and reinforce quality assurance for EK3 and its clients

Required Skills:

- Strong people and communication skills

- Strong organizational and documenting skills

- Multitasking skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle diverse demands

- Ability to manage own timelines to meet deadlines

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years of professional Flash development experience

- Expertise in Flash development methodologies including ActionScript-1.0/2.0, OOP

implementation component development, XML communication, software design patterns,

and quality assurance. Experience with HTML5 is a plus.

- Knowledge of Photoshop is required

- Comprehensive knowledge of the Adobe product range and competing toolsets

- Flash animation and Flash video and design knowledge and expertise

- Adobe After Effects and After Effects API knowledge would be beneficial

- Web technology knowledge and expertise (i.e. XML, HTML, DHTML, PHP,

Java/JavaScript, server side scripting and applications, databases, etc.)

- Proven ability for quick creative and technical thinking with acute attention to detail within

demanding deadlines

- Proficiency with office software including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
