Position Overview:

The Senior Project Manager will coordinate deployment requests involving new installs, upgrades, developing custom configurations, maintenance, and ad hoc configuration changes to ensure proper coordination of deployment and support projects with the customer’s deployment and operation’s teams.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and schedule new installs, full upgrades, custom software configurations, software configuration changes and patching with the Technical Support Manager and the customer deployment project teams
• Coordinate resources with the Technical Support Manager and customer operations project teams in triage of field issues, major configuration changes and delivery of operational support for the EK3 platform
• Evaluate and propose hardware configurations for new and existing customer deployments of EK3 solutions
• Participate in the evaluation of the performance of the EK3 deployment and support processes, ensure service data required for reporting of Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreement metrics are accurately collected and recommend improvement opportunities to the Ek3 deployment and support processes
• Identify and put into action opportunities for continuous improvement
• Develop key relationships within our clients’ teams
• Manage actual costs of projects against budgeted costs
• Drive high quality deployment services with high customer satisfaction

Education and Experience:

• Degree or diploma in technology discipline, or equivalent experience
• Must have a Project Management designation
• Must have managed enterprise scale software and hardware deployment projects
• 8 - 10 years' experience in project estimating, scoping, planning and delivering projects, including project administration functions (schedule management, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability with standard project management methodology and tools
• Detailed knowledge of technology deployment best practices, concepts and approaches
• Demonstrated ability with risk assessment and management techniques
• Considerable experience in resource planning and resource management
• Expert ability in one of the following PM disciplines: scope management, issue management or risk management
• Proficiency with office productivity tools
• Proficiency with work scheduling tools
• Relationship management skills
• Ability to work independently; self-starter
• Ability to multi-task
• Effective problem-solving and analysis skills
