Information Systems Technical Support

Position Overview
This entry-level position in a manufacturing environment provides technical hardware and software support at the desktop, network and operating systems to ensure optimal efficiencies.   The successful candidate will act as a technical resource in assisting end users to resolve day-to-day related problems. 

Responsibilities
  • Installs, assembles and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners and related hardware
  • Troubleshoots problems with computer systems, including hardware and software issues, network and peripheral equipment problems
  • Installs, configures and upgrades operating systems and software
  • Is the primary point of contact for assisting and supporting end-users
  • Develops documentation supporting network and technical processes
Qualifications
  • post secondary education in Information Technology or a related program
  • experience with a variety of software and hardware technologies
  • hands-on technical troubleshooting experience
  • excellent prioritizing and communication skills
  • strong procedural documentation skills
  • exceptional end-user customer service expertise
