Job Description
Our client located in Windsor, Ontario is in search of a Manufacturing Engineer in a Controls position to join their team on a 12 month contract.
Description:
Use Plant monitoring software to review cycle times of automation, review and follow up automation project's and installations Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other automation problems Update program backups for automation Program new installations of Body tooling and conveyor systems.
Reprogram automation for engineering changes and improvements Coordinate automation campaigns
Skills Required:
Must possess Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls Must possess the ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly through route cause analysis and drive change back to the production departments. Must display strong customer orientation with a commitment to upholding plant processes through strict adherence to the Quality Operating System. Must demonstrate the ability to execute to achieve results, while organizing and managing multiple priorities Must have a proven willingness to take a participatory approach to union relations and be a team player Must have the ability to serve as a strong and confident technical mentor to the production organization (both hourly and salary) Must have strong written and verbal communications skills
Experience Required:
Controls engineering experience preferred
Experience Preferred:
Unionized setting experience preferred
Education Required:
Bachelor degree / technical diploma in electrical engineering
