Our Diabetes Care team is looking for a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to provide foot care support across all of our locations. Working as a member of a multidisciplinary team, the RPN delivers comprehensive foot care including analysis of health behaviours related to lifestyle and culture, review of client’s medical history, foot care assessments, and in collaboration with the client, development and implementation of client-centred care plans.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Postsecondary diploma (RPN) from an accredited college
- Current registration in good standing with the CNO
- Advanced Footcare Certification
- Ability to conduct initial assessments and develop individualized foot care plans
- Experience with monofilament test assessments, foot care recommendations, diabetic foot care teachings, and foot care treatments
- Knowledge of and experience with proper reprocessing procedures
- Willingness to manage and conduct all aspects of foot care visits both onsite and in clients’ homes
- Ability to work with marginalized people of diverse backgrounds with an inclusive and anti-oppressive lens
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Knowledge of diabetes and experience supporting and educating clients who have diabetes
- Awareness and understanding of the social determinants of health and health promotion
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (Telus Practice Solutions Suite currently in use)
- Strong computer skills, including the use of Office 365
- French and other language skills are considered an asset in supporting the communities we serve
