Job Description

PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES (PERMANENT ANDTEMPORARY POSITIONS)

PERMANENT AND TEMPORARY PSYCHOLOGIST

POSITION SUMMARY: Psychologists are responsible for the diagnosis of disabilities and disorders affecting learning; communication of assessment results to parents, students and school personnel; behavioural consultation and intervention for students with social-emotional and behavioural disorders; provision of recommendations for programming based on assessment, consultation, and specialized knowledge of child development and learning; in-services training sessions for school personnel and parents; active participation in Program Development Team and other multi-disciplinary team meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a Ph.D. program in Psychology or equivalent qualifications requiring a full year residency or internship.  Current registration as a Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario with competencies in school, clinical, counselling psychology or any combination of these with scope of practice including children and adolescents.  

SALARY RANGE: $71,864.00 - $98,161.00 (Permanent)
RATE OF PAY: $50.33 per hour plus 4% vacation pay (Temporary)

PERMANENT AND TEMPORARY PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATE

POSITION SUMMARY: The Psychological Associate is responsible for the diagnosis of disabilities and disorders affecting learning; communication of assessment results to parents, students and school personnel; behavioural consultation and intervention for students with social-emotional and behavioural disorders; provision of recommendations for programming based on assessment, consultation, and specialized knowledge of child development and learning; in-services training sessions for school personnel and parents; active participation in Program Development Team and other multi-disciplinary team meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a Master’s degree program in Psychology or equivalent qualifications.  Current registration as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario with competencies in school, clinical, counselling psychology or any combination of these with scope of practice including children and adolescents. 

SALARY RANGE: $66,832.00 - $91,290.00 (Permanent)
RATE OF PAY: $46.80 per hour plus 4% vacation pay (Temporary)
