ASSOCIATION OF BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS (NON-UNION EMPLOYEE GROUP)

GROUP “4” – FULL TIME 12 MONTH POSITION
Salary range $62,959 to $71,543 (commensurate with experience)
Start Date: Immediately
 
The Pathway Planning Administrator will report directly to the Principal of St. Patrick, Adult and Continuing Education. The Pathway Planning Administrator is responsible for the organization and implementation of Policy/Program Memorandum No.132 Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) for Mature Students and Pathway planning.

Qualifications and Skills required:
 
  • Bachelor of Education preferred
  • Certificate in Adult Education
  • Experience with the Prior Learning Assessment & Recognition Process (PLAR)
  • Experience working with Adult Learners
  • Demonstrated experience in the field of Academic Counselling and Student Pathways
  • Experience with the post-secondary application process
  • Experience working in a pathway planning role
  • Strong knowledge of OSSD requirements, course pre-requisites, mandatory and optional courses etc.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining a database of PLAR students, status of PLAR’s and progressions
  • Demonstrated ability to provide accurate tracking and reporting on PLARs’ in EDGE, and PowerSchool systems
  • Ability to support Pathway Planning in PLAR assessments and registrations
  • Proven experience working with government partners and outreach regarding guidance, PLAR and secondary school credit information, resources, presentations, updates, etc.
  • Excellent human relations, communication, and organizational skills
  • Possess an understanding and appreciation of the mission of a Catholic school system
