The PSW Program with Adult Day School, part of Adult, Alternative and Continuing Education is posting for qualified teachers to be added to our pool of teachers. Courses are scheduled based on student enrollment for each term.

In certain circumstances the Board may apply to the Ministry of Education for a Letter of Permission in order to meet its programming needs. Candidates that are an RN or RPN and are not currently certified with the Ontario College of Teachers are welcome to apply.

Session Dates: September 3, 2024, to November 15, 2024 |
Location: This position is in our Personal Support Worker Program located at G. A. Wheable Education Centre in London. The successful candidate must be a RN or RPN as well as a qualified OCT. The successful candidate will be teaching part of the theory and lab components of the PSW Program. The successful candidate will be required to complete all aspects associated with teaching such as following proper policies/procedures, being a caring adult for students, lesson development and delivery based on current curriculum expectations, attendance, supervising students, assessment/evaluation, and mark reporting, to name only a few of the tasks. Information about TVDSB's PSW Program can be found at www.tvdsb.ca/psw. The recruitment process may require a criminal background check for work with vulnerable persons. The criminal background check must be dated May 20, 2024, or later (i.e. completed in the 6 months prior to starting work). |
Class Times: Full Day (8:00 am to 2:30 pm) |
Rate of Pay: Rate of pay is dependent on experience. As an Ontario Certified Teacher, the rate of pay is between $51.14 - $98.90 per/hour. Applicants who are not an Ontario Certified Teacher may be paid less than an Ontario Certified Teacher. |
