You will support production breakdowns (troubleshoot mould, machines or operator
issues on the plant floor), perform mould-related maintenance, and cleaning activities
(e.g. abrasive blast, solvents, degreasing, stoning, benching, replacement spotting),
as well as engage in mould improvement projects with the Engineering team.
In addition to a minimum of four years of experience as a licensed journeyperson,
you are proficient in welding (TIG, micro, laser) and have experience working on
EPDM rubber and TPE plastic weather-strip moulds. You are skilled in milling, lathe,
drilling, tapping, and grinding, with a good knowledge of injection presses and
functions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with skilled
hand tool use are essential. This position will eventually work a three (3) shift rotating
schedule. Some weekend overtime will be required.
