We require a technologist to perform and assume the following responsibilities:
This is a full time permanent job which requires 40 hours of work per week.
The hourly rate of pay is $26.00.
The work location is Dorchester, Ontario.

Job Description
We require a technologist to perform and assume the following responsibilities:
- creating drawings for industrial and manufacturing clients;
- conducting studies/analysis (FEA)
- use of solid works and AutoCAD to provide mechanical design of manufacturing & assembly fixtures
- interacting with appropriate resources to refine scopes and concepts for final designs
- specifying and purchasing equipment and parts
- diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical equipment/systems
- reviewing feasibility of product design, identifying potential issues, and implementing changes that improve the performance and reduce costs
- supporting hand buid prototype and concept models of the new products to verify the manufuacturability & assembly of the new product design
- Ensuring that all assigned work is completed on time and within agreed budgets

Skills & Experience
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Work Experience - Minimum 1 year
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team;
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure;
- Strong communciation and organizational skills;
- Knowledge of contract technical specifications and thiri implementation;
- Surveying calculations, analysis and measurement knoweldge required.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, MAC and Windows;
- Expertise in Engineering Soft-wares; Computer Aided Design (CAD) Skills; Solid works, Finite Element Analysis, computational Fluid Dynamics and AutoCAD; Knowledge of Project Management programs such as: Microsoft Project Suite 2007, 2010, 2013;
- Deductive Reasoning Skills;
- Structural Mechanical Skills;
