Controller Confidential Opportunity | London, Ontario Compensation Range: $110,000 - $140,000 plus profit sharing Our client, a well-established and respected company with deep roots in London, Ontario, is seeking an accomplished Controller to join its leadership team as a result of ongoing growth and expansion. Prime Management Group Inc. is pleased to conduct a confidential search on behalf of our client for a strategic, commercially minded, and growth-oriented Controller. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the successful candidate will oversee core accounting activities and financial reporting across a multi-location retail operation comprising several branches and all related companies. This opportunity combines hands-on responsibility and exposure to executive decision-making, with potential for future progression through succession planning. This detail-focused professional will produce accurate, timely monthly financial statements and maintain general ledger integrity through account analysis, reconciliations, journal entries, expense reviews, and accrual adjustments. Beyond reporting results, the Controller will investigate significant budget variances and resolve issues revealed through the financials, including inventory discrepancies, costing errors, and margin fluctuations. Working closely with the executive team, this analytical business partner and leader will bring a curious, improvement-minded approach to identifying inefficiencies, streamlining workflows and pursuing appropriate automation, including AI tools. The Controller will prepare and consolidate annual branch budgets, identify savings opportunities and support profitability and disciplined expense management. Responsibilities include monthly reporting on product group performance and accounts receivable aging, quarterly and annual inventory shrinkage reporting, customer rebate calculations and lender reporting. As a principled steward of company assets, the Controller will monitor for potential fraud and losses, assess safeguards and strengthen controls. The role also includes coordinating preparation for the annual operating-company audit, assisting with related-entity year-end audits, preparing HST returns and reviewing externally prepared corporate tax returns to support accurate records, tax compliance and audit readiness across the organization.
