Job Description

The Municipality of Southwest Middlesex is seeking an Administrative Coordinator.  The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.  Reporting to the Clerk, the Administrative Coordinator provides a variety of administrative, clerical, and secretarial support functions to multiple municipal departments. Position responsibilities include:

  • Clerical and secretarial support for the Clerk, and multiple other departments
  • Answering the phone and responding to questions and providing information to the public
  • File maintenance, including property file maintenance, filing, scanning of documents, and maintaining and tracking records
  • Administrative functions for the building and by-law division
  • Deputy Division Registrar under the Vital Statistics Act
  • Lottery Licensing Officer under the Gaming Control Act
  • Commissioner of Oaths by the Ministry of Attorney General
  • Assist with coverage for other Coordinators during illness and vacation, as time permits
  • Provide back-up support to front reception staff
  • To perform other duties as assigned
