Supervisor, Health and Wellness
Association of Business Professionals (Non-Union Employee Group)
Full Time Permanent Position

Salary Range (commensurate with experience):
Group 6, $80,426 to $91,391

Reporting to the Executive Superintendent, People and Culture, the Supervisor, Employee Health and Wellness is integral in ensuring consistent, collaborative, and effective approaches in the ongoing development, implementation, and maintenance of Employee Health and Wellness programs. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of and commitment to employee health and wellness, disability case management, and overseeing the Attendance Support Program.
Extensive knowledge of claims adjudication, early intervention, and modified work processes as well as applicable legislation are supported by the incumbent’s ability to provide training and coaching to employees and leaders. An excellent communicator with solid computer, organizational, and analytical skills. The successful candidate has proven expertise in developing, implementing, maintaining, and managing an attendance support program. The incumbent has a demonstrated ability to implement and utilize best practices ensuring a customer service approach when interacting with all stakeholders.


Qualifications and Skills required:                                                                        

 
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field, such as Disability Management, Occupational Health, Occupational Therapy, Human Resources Management, and/or Industrial Relations
  • Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) Designation is considered an asset
  • Minimum five (5) years of related claims and attendance management experience, preferably with a school board or other public-sector unionized organization
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with claims adjudication, early intervention and modified work processes
  • Ability to work collaborative and communicate clearly with cross functional teams, including Association and Union partners, and all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge and ability to interpret Collective Agreements, Legislation and Regulations
  • Experience with developing, implementing, maintaining, and managing attendance support programs
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated professional ethic and sensitivity to the confidential nature of the position and to individual situations
  • Operates with respect, tact and diplomacy in upholding the Board’s policies and procedures, Collective Agreements, Regulations, and Legislation
