Job Description
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will provide expertise in the area of ABA instructional methods, conduct functional behavior assessments and skill-based assessments, and collaborate on the development of behaviour and safety plans. The candidate will monitor behavior interventions and interpret data recording systems while working with other Grand Erie system staff. The candidate will liaise with various stakeholders supporting the student as appropriate. The individual will also build capacity by offering professional development to school and system staff and participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team supporting students with complex behaviour.
Qualifications:
- Member of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) with a Certificate of Registration for a Behaviour Analyst Authorizing Autonomous Practice is required
- Master’s degree in applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field is required
- Post-graduate level coursework in Applied Behaviour Analysis is required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the practice of behaviour analyst in an educational and/or clinical setting is required
- Experience in assessing, understanding, and managing significant problem behaviours is preferred.
