Job Description

The Board spans a geographic area encompassing the City of Brantford and the Counties of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk. The head office is located in Brantford.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the office of the Accounting Supervisor, the student will work with the accounting team to provide support to the accounts payable department. The incumbent will gain experience in the various stages of processing invoices for payment, assist with vendor reconciliations and provide occasional relief at reception. The successful candidate will assist with various special projects and have the opportunity to support various roles while staff are on vacation.
Qualifications:
All submissions are to include a complete cover letter, resume, qualifications, and the names of three (3) professional references at least one of which must be a current supervisor (one document if submitted electronically). All new employees are required to provide an original Police Record Check (which includes a “vulnerable sector search”) acceptable to the Board prior to the commencement of employment.

- College or University students currently enrolled in an Accounting or Business Administration program is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work as a team and independently.
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
