HRIS AND DATA ANALYST SPECIALIST
JOB TITLE: HRIS and Data Analyst Specialist (In-Person)
SALARY RANGE: $73,592 - $97,321
HIRING RANGE: $73,592 - $93,930

POSITION SUMMARY:
The HRIS and Data Analyst Specialist is responsible to provide decision support through maintaining, collecting, compiling, and analyzing HR data metrics. The successful candidate will provide data driven recommendations related to HR processes such as, but not limited to, attendance and workforce management, recruitment, benefits eligibility, performance reviews, and legal compliance. The role provides a high level of customer service to employees, Management and external partners regarding the Board’s Human Resources Information Systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides a high level of training and customer service related to Human Resource Systems, including communication and problem-solving with internal and external partners

Monitors the system to ensure that key stakeholder needs are being met

Ensures accurate Human Resource Information Systems data entry and reporting preparation

Improves processes and implements new requirements within HRIS systems

Consults and partners with Human Resource and all TVDSB stakeholders on how HRIS systems can best provide support for department needs
WORK PERFORMED:
-
Maintain and support Human Resource processes such as absence management, recruitment, workforce planning, benefit and compensation management

Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve data related issues within the system and to ensure highest standards of data quality are maintained

Focus on continuous innovation; utilizing analytical tools to provide data-driven insights and providing recommendations to management regarding reporting enhancements

Maintain and support all HR Software Systems including the Board’s Human Resources Information System, Absence and Replacement Information System, Abilities and Wellness and Workplace Accommodation System, Facility Management Software Suite

Maintain, investigate, improve, monitor, review, test, ensure proper set up, integration and upgrades for Human Resource Systems

Provide absence management help desk support to all employees and schools

Grant and control access to Human Resource Systems

Produce various data reporting throughout the year

Train, guide and support all TVDSB staff and schools in the understanding of processes and functionality of various systems

Complete external HR data requests

Work on projects with key Stakeholders such as: IT, payroll, and finance, where HR data needs to be changed or improved to meet a new requirement or request

Troubleshoot, implement and improve processes as requested

Participate in process reviews and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying/documenting issues that adversely impact HR systems

Work with IT as needed to create automated reports and ensure accuracy in such reports after system changes and upgrades

Direct others on expected input of data into systems based on known collective agreements, policies, and procedures

Engage, communicate, and cooperate with vendors for implementation of software updates
QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of a two (2) year post-secondary program in Human Resources, Business or Information Technology or equivalent or a degree combined with a post-secondary program in Human Resources, Business, Information Technology or equivalent. Three (3) years of related work experience is required.

Proficient computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrated experience working with a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) is required; Certified Human Resources Professional designation is preferred; Proficient in SQL (Structured Query Language) is an asset; Comprehensive understanding of Human Resources Information Systems; understanding of Project management, database systems, and SQL inquiry language is an asset; Proficient in computer systems such as Outlook 365, Excel

Work in a unionized, fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment is an asset
